Safari Itinerary  

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), you will be met by your driver/guide or a representative.
  • Transfer to Arusha for overnight accommodation.
  • Accommodation: Tulia Hotel and SPA/ Arusha Planet Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

  • After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park.
  • Tarangire is known for its large elephant population, majestic baobab trees, and diverse birdlife.
  • Game drive along the Tarangire River, spotting elephants, wildebeests, zebras, and various predators.
  • Picnic lunch within the park.
  • Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or similar.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

  • Early breakfast followed by a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.
  • The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a natural sanctuary for a high concentration of wildlife, including the rare black rhino.
  • Spot lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and various other species.
  • Picnic lunch within the crater.
  • Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

  • After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park, crossing the Ngorongoro Highlands.
  • Stop at the Crater View for scenic views.
  • Optional stop at a Maasai Boma for a cultural experience.
  • Lunch at the Serengeti gate picnic area.
  • Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, famous for the “Big Five” (elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion, and leopard).
  • Dinner and overnight at Kubukubu Tented Lodge/Serengeti Heritage Camp or similar.

Day 5: Exploring Serengeti National Park

  • Early morning game drive in the central Serengeti.
  • Full-day game drive following the Great Migration trails (depending on the time of year).
  • Witness the vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles.
  • Look out for predators such as lions, hyenas, and cheetahs.
  • Picnic lunch within the park.
  • Dinner and overnight at Kubukubu Tented Lodge/Serengeti Heritage Camp or similar.

Day 6-10: Zanzibar

  • After breakfast, transfer to Seronera Airstrip for a flight to Zanzibar.
  • Enjoy the beaches, spice farms, dolphin tours, historical sites, and cultural experiences Zanzibar has to offer.
  • Activities can be tailored to your preferences, including relaxation on the beaches of Paje, Matemwe, Nungwi, Kendwa, Pongwe, and Jambiani, exploring Stone Town, visiting Jozani-Chwaka National Park, diving, and snorkeling.
  • Accommodation at a pre-arranged hotel/lodge such as White Sands Villas, Mnemba Lodge, Kilindi Beach Resort, Amaan Beach Bungalows, Mnarani Lodge, etc.

Day 11: Departure

  • Enjoy a final breakfast.
  • Transfer to Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ) or the seaport for your departure.
