Safari Itinerary  

Day 1: Arrival

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), you will be met by your driver/guide or a representative.
  • Transfer to Arusha for overnight accommodation.
  • Overnight: Tulia Hotel and SPA or similar.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

  • After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park.
  • Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and diverse birdlife.
  • Game viewing along the Tarangire River offers opportunities to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, buffalo, and predators like lions.
  • Picnic lunch within the park.
  • Dinner and overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House or similar.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

  • After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, crossing the Ngorongoro Highlands.
  • Stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for scenic views.
  • Optional stop at a Maasai Boma for a cultural experience (cultural dance).
  • Lunch at the Serengeti gate picnic area.
  • Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti.
  • Dinner and overnight: Kubukubu Tented Lodge/Serengeti Heritage Camp or similar.

Day 4: Exploring Serengeti National Park

  • Early morning game drive in the central Serengeti.
  • Full-day game drive following the Great Migration trails (depending on the time of year).
  • Opportunities to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and predators.
  • Picnic lunch in the park.
  • Dinner and overnight: Kubukubu Tented Lodge/Serengeti Heritage Camp or similar.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

  • Early breakfast and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater.
  • Descend into the crater for a game drive.
  • The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique ecosystem with a high concentration of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino.
  • Picnic lunch within the crater.
  • Ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha.
  • Dinner and overnight: Tulia Hotel and SPA or similar.

Day 6: Departure

  • Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to visit the Maasai Market for souvenirs or enjoy a short city tour of Arusha.
  • Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
