Safari Itinerary  

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), you will be met by your driver/guide or a representative.
  • Transfer to Arusha.
  • Overnight at Tulia Hotel and SPA.

Day 2: Materuni Waterfall Day Trip

  • After breakfast, drive to Moshi to visit Materuni/Mnambe Waterfall, a village at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Explore the village, enjoying scenic views of Moshi Town and Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Experience Chagga culture, including a local market tour, local brew tasting, traditional dance, and a coffee and banana farm tour.
  • Enjoy a local lunch.
  • Return to Arusha in the afternoon.
  • Overnight at Tulia Hotel and SPA.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

  • After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park.
  • Enjoy a game drive in Tarangire, known for its large elephant population and majestic baobab trees.
  • Look for diverse wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and various bird species.
  • Picnic lunch in the park.
  • Dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Camp or similar.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

  • Breakfast at the tented lodge.
  • Short drive to Lake Manyara National Park.
  • Game drive in Lake Manyara, known for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and diverse birdlife, including flamingos.
  • Look for hippos along the lake.
  • Picnic lunch in the park.
  • Afternoon drive to Karatu area.
  • Dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

  • After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, crossing the Ngorongoro Highlands.
  • Stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for scenic views.
  • Game viewing en route to the Serengeti.
  • Picnic lunch.
  • Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti.
  • Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp.

Day 6: Exploring the Serengeti

  • Early morning game drive in the Serengeti, focusing on the migration (depending on the season) and predator activity.
  • Return to camp for lunch and rest.
  • Afternoon game drive.
  • Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp or similar.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

  • Early breakfast.
  • Drive to Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater for a game drive.
  • Explore the crater floor, a natural sanctuary for a high concentration of wildlife, including the rare black rhino.
  • Picnic lunch in the crater.
  • Ascend from the crater in the late afternoon and drive to Arusha.
  • Dinner and overnight at Tulia Hotel and SPA or similar.

Day 8: Departure

  • Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to visit a Maasai market for souvenirs or take a short city tour.
  • Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.

Included:

  • All airport transfers in a private vehicle.
  • Transport and game drives in a modified 4WD Land Cruiser or Land Rover with a photographic roof hatch.
  • Services of a professional safari guide.
  • Meals as per itinerary (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner).
  • Accommodation in safari lodges and tented camps as per itinerary.
  • All wildlife reserve entry fees and camping fees.
  • Drinking water in the vehicle during the safari.
