Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
- Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), you will be met by your driver/guide or our representative and transferred to Arusha.
- Overnight at Tulia Hotel and SPA or similar.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
- After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population and majestic baobab trees.
- Enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch. Tarangire River is the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season, attracting a diverse range of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants.
- Dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Camp or similar.
Day 3: Karatu Cultural Tour
- After breakfast, embark on a cultural tour through the local village of Mto wa Mbu.
- This tour includes a biking excursion through banana and rice plantations, visiting local communities and learning about their culture and traditions.
- Experience how these diverse groups cooperate in sharing resources. Learn about banana cultivation and visit a local “pub” to sample banana beer.
- Observe Makonde tribe members crafting wood artwork.
- Cycle to Lake Manyara for scenic views of the Great Rift Valley Wall and observe small herds of wildlife.
- Enjoy a local lunch at a unique venue in Mto wa Mbu, featuring a variety of local African dishes.
- Late afternoon drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands.
- Dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge or similar.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
- After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, crossing the Ngorongoro Highlands.
- Stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for scenic views.
- Game viewing drives en route to Serengeti with a packed lunch.
- Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti.
- Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp or similar.
Day 5: Exploring Serengeti National Park
- Early morning game drive in the Serengeti. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration. The Serengeti is also home to a variety of predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
- Return to camp for lunch and rest.
- Afternoon game drive.
- Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp or similar.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
- Early breakfast, then drive to Ngorongoro Crater and descend for a game drive (with picnic lunch).
- The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural sanctuary for a high concentration of wildlife, including the rare black rhino. You can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, antelopes, various birds, and other species.
- Late afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive to Arusha.
- Dinner and overnight at Tulia Hotel and SPA or similar.
Day 7: Departure
- Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to visit the Maasai market for souvenirs or enjoy a short city tour of Arusha.
- Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.

- Transport and game drives in a modified 4×4 Land Cruiser or Land Rover with a photographic roof hatch.
